Eternal Soul

Mind floats all over the places when I am on a train.. This time I noticed the exhibition of  the famous artist Yayoi Kusama.

She is a modern Japanese artist  who makes paintings and soft sculptures and many other pieces art on her best ways…
the patterns that she paints and creates ,are amazing….
She is a fierce artist …

And  on 22th of March was her birthday… She is 88 years old…. And there is Yayoi Kusama.  My eternal soul exhibition in Tokyo at  National Art Museum in Roppongi…
I went on a beautiful sunny day to see art….

I didn’t  have any idea how the title of the exhibition corresponds to  the concept of the exhibition….
I was in awe and motivated to feed my soul to eternity.
There was a giant pumpkin statue outside welcoming us.  Just when you are to buy a ticket...   I congragulated myself on my desicion to see this exhibition. I love when the art flows out of the gallery.

There is even a white booth where you are given round colorful stickers to paste, a collective art....

The exhibition plan was based on the parts of Yayaoi Kusama’s  life, and it was full of life and vibrant and artistic…

The exhibition was full of people…. and there are more than 100 pieces of art in many different kinds. I am amazed by the creativity of Yayoi Kusama…That is the main idea that I went home with..
The great artist Yayoi Kusama has an eternal soul who creates art endlessly.

That was an eternal experience… the exibition is until 22the of May,2017.

Cheers, A soul never gets old.

Fruits in Japan are a wonder

With the arrival of spring, the exportation of the fruits and the local fruits are getting much popularity…
Apart from the winter fruits like oranges or mandarine, here arrives…

The strawberries   big and tasty and even white strawberries...
And the perfect shaped well preserved juicy peaches…
The melons that are even  sold by auctions…
Dragon fruits…
Heart shaped or cubical watermelons…
Yellow watermelons…
Figs…
Mangos…
The biggest grapes…
Exported well preserved and prefect shape color and taste…
And many other tropical and seasonal fruits….

Fruits in Japan are considerable pricey, I buy them because it is the best product that you can have…
So money is well spent.

If there are some fruits that you have not tasted yet, but not originally a Japanese item.
I recommend to taste them in Japan since, Japanese regulations and prefectionism bring only the best fruits to the markets…

Cheers,

Donut never dissapoints

My love of pastry and sweets is  very very well fed in Japan.
There are lots of additions to my favorites list.
Donuts are my new Japanese favorites.   It is not a Japanese invention but just like anything that Japan does perfectly, it is great.

My forever favorite donut shop is Mister Donuts… It is a budget friendly, full of options,   an ordinary  shop is seen and  found  all over Japan.
The donuts differ from classics to more adventurous ones and also additions of the new fashion like cronuts and all… also there are different releases based on seasons  and  events…
I love them  alllll…
But my top three are  choco-ring, old fashion-choco, and custard cream….. waoh yummy…
Oh well, I am going to Mister donut after writing this post.
I also get a cup of steaming  coffee. Then I get a refill on coffee.
That is one  of   the best things … to have a refill of steaming coffee for  free…
You can see friends meeting  there , families on a Sunday stroll…
It is a place for all….
And there are also other savory options… Some mothers have lunch when they are buying donuts for their children.
My idea of donuts is Mister donut, just like Plato philosophy. I compare all donuts to what I have  had from Mister Donut.
And even if  when I do not plan to have a donut, locating a Mister Donut Shop  in the vicinity  gives me a cloud of happiness.
There are also Krispy Cream in some locations in Japan.  And all other local donut shops, donut sections in Conbinis and all other shops….
There are all kinds of donuts to lovee… yummy...

Cheers,
